Thank you for visiting Sound Boatworks' Online Store, Sound Boatworks was founded by my father, Ted Boynton, and myself in 1999. Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the best products in the marine industry for you, our customers. Together we have over 60 years of experience sailing-both on the recreational and professional levels.

We commit our knowledge to our customers in the hopes of providing them with the best sailing experience possible. Shopsoundboatworks.com online store was developed in April of 2008 with the goal of supplying sailing equipment and hardware to sailors and yachtsmen across the country.

We offer Free Shipping via UPS Ground to customer's whose order exceeds $100 total, to use this method, please select "Free Shipping" at checkout. Customer's whose order total falls below $100 may choose from one of our UPS Services for their shipping method.

International Orders:

International customers also qualify for Free Shipping with order totals of $500 or more. All International Orders are shipped via FedEx International Priority, unless otherwise noted. FedEx Intl. Priority average delivery time is 3-4 days, if an order is needed sooner, please note this in the comment section of your order and we will do our best to expedite the shipping.

When making a purchase from Sound Boatworks we're not happy unless you are happy. This means anything purchased online, over the phone or in our store can be returned or exchanged if you are not 100% satisfied with the product.

When making a Return/Exchange please follow these guidelines to help us expedite your return/exchange:

  • Items being returned/exchanged must be in new condition, original packaging and include the item tags.

  • Please include a copy of your receipt inside the box, on the receipt please indicate whether you would like a return or exchange, on what items and the reason for return. Also, if you need for us to ship an exchange to a different address, or have a specific time frame you are working with, please let us know and we will try to work with you.

  • Please use a Traceable Shipping method when making your return, so we can both track where your return merchandise is and in case of a lost package you will be able to process a claim with the shipping courier. We do not require returns to be insured, buyer's discretion.

  • Items returned after 30 Days of customer receipt are only eligible for store credit, unless specifically noted by a SB Staff Member

  • Items that are purchased from the closeout section or clearance specials are not returnable as all sales are final and will be assessed a 10% Re-stock fee and store credit will be applied.

  • All Return Credits will be processed once your return has arrived to us, you will be credited back to your original method of payment at the time of your order, we cannot process a credit to a different credit card or account unless your card has expired, been lost or destroyed. Please contact us if you need a credit directed to a different funding source than the original

  • Please allow 7-14 days for your Return/Exchange to be processed, we do try to process returns as quickly as possible, this is a conservative time.

  • When a credit is issued, Sound Boatworks will email you with a credit confirmation, this indicates that we have submitted a credit onto your original method of payment, it will also indicate the amount and date of submission. Please be advised, our credit card processor indicates a 2-10 business day time frame for a credit to appear on your credit card statement.

    Make sure your Electronics/Hardware order is correct and fits prior to installing it, if any part needs to be returned or exchanged please contact us.

    DVDs/CDs, & Made to Order items are not returnable.

    If you have received an order that is missing parts, damaged or is not the correct part, we will issue a UPS call ticket to pickup the package from your location and ship the correct parts to you. Please wait until you have received the correct parts for your order before returning them.

    Promotions and Coupon Codes:

    Sound Boatworks always strives to offer our products at the best prices online, to do this we will place items on sale for short durations or long durations and will also offer Free Shipping, Promotions, and Coupon codes to use on our website.

    Sometimes with all of the promotions that we run, certain offers can conflict with each other, for instance; Promotional codes found on websites and in our promotional emails cannot be applied to certain product categories on our site, or Products that are "On Sale" or "Marked Down". While our checkout system sometimes will accept these codes, you may receive an email from one of our Customer Service Reps advising of this conflict and the code will not be accepted on your order.

    Additionally, Promotions or Coupon Codes can never be applied to any item that is located in our Close-Out Rack", as stated at the header of that section.
